My super new (and waaaaay improved!) About Me video!

My super new (and waaaaay improved!) About Me video! When the one and only  Monica  McCarthy (she was on Broadway, you guys!) told me she was launching a production company and wanted to shoot About Me videos for entrepreneurs, I forced her to sign me up to be one of her first clients. The video that I filmed on a Flip cam in my living room ( has been on my site for 2+ years!) wasnt cutting it anymore. Lets face it it never was cutting it to begin with. See? Over 8 minutes long, I was shocked (shocked!) when someone told me, So I was watching the video on your About Me page, and really related to xyz I would always respond, Ohmygosh, you get a medal for watching that whole thing! Its so long and rambly! But the reality of the situation was: people were watching it, and connecting with me (something I always wanna do more of) according to my YouTube analytics, more than 50% of peeps were sticking it out all the way til the end of the video (also shocking I figured itd be a much lower number), but 25% of em dropped off around the 1 min mark (uh, do I need a shorter video maybe kinda sorta definitely?) its my most-watched non-boob cancer YouTube video (even though it was buried in my About Me page via a collapsable button) The writing was on the wall, people. I knew the importance of having a kick-ass About Me video, and I knew that  Monica  would ensure I got a high-quality, professional, edited piece. And the timing couldnt have been better, since Ive been workin behind the scenes to have  a brand-new, streamlined, clean-yet-fun website design refresh up by ~8/15. A new site *and* an About Me video I could be proud of? Score! A few days prior to the shoot,  Monica  emailed me a list of questions so that Id know how Id wanna talk about my business, and things Id wanna highlight. When I came to the shoot, she did a pre-interview so that shed know what points I wanted to hit (it was like I was on David Letterman or something!), and the questions she asked me for the cameras made me delve into my business and my story like I never had before. That was priceless, and led to a sense of comfort and great answers! in front of the camera. Even though I felt a bit like a ramblin fool (Im not known for my brevity, people), Show Tell turned around a 3 minute video that made me look like everything but.  Monica  and Jason totally interpreted what I wanted into a video I cant wait to put front center on my website. Theyre gonna help me trick everything into thinking Im uber-professional! See? Look at the After product! Michelle Ward, When I Grow Up Coach from Show Tell Stories   Thanks thanks thanks to Monica, Dre, Jason for makin me such a proud lil business mama!
